Hello

Does Intel or any other third party provide FSP's source files for Intel Atom 3800 series processors or else suggest any development kit to purchase based on the intel Atom E3815 processor and also with the supported FSP source files

Hello, SABARIVASA@ECIL:

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Comunity.

The Intel(R) Firmware Support Package (FSP) for Intel(R) Atom(TM) E3800 Series (formerly Bay Trail) SoC GOLD2 release document # 521195 can be found at:

https://cdrd.intel.com/v1/dl/getContent/521195 https://cdrd.intel.com/v1/dl/getContent/521195

In case that it is inaccessible to you, it requires that you have a Privileged Resource & Design Center (RDC) account. It can be requested by filling out the form stated at the following website:

https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/forms/design/registration-privileged.html https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/forms/design/registration-privileged.html

We hope that this information may help you.

Best regards,

Carlos_A.

Hi Carlos,

your answer is very interesting I thought thatall FSP packages are released to GitHub: https://github.com/IntelFsp/FSP/tree/BayTrail GitHub - IntelFsp/FSP at BayTrail

It looks like some releases are hidden in RDC. I have prividged access to Bay Trail documents, but didn't know about GOLD2 version.

What is the method of finding most recent FSP for given microarchitecture ? Is there a method to be notified about newer FSP versions ?

The MinnowBoard Turbot uses Intel Atom E3826 and E3845 - same thing as the E3815, but with 2 or 4 cores. And the number of cores can be controlled in the BIOS, so it would be possible to get close to performance parity with the E3815.

These are open source hardware designs and all the schematics, layout, firmware source code and BOM are available through the minnowboard.org website. A number of manufacturers have built reference designs and these are available in distribution around the world through mouser, Amazon and others.

Good luck,

|\/|ark.
