We are using the Atom D2550 of Intel.
The graphics chipset of this D2550 is GMA 3650
We need a driver working fine in RED HAT 6 y RED HAT 7.
There is a driver GMA500 developed by Linux Community but Red Hat need support from Intel to certify the chip set in RED HAT 6 y RED HAT 7:
- A open driver for this chip set
- A driver working fine in Red Hat 6 y 7
From Intel web, we know that de chip set is unsopported.
Can you help us in any way ?

Hello DIBAL-InmaculadaLopez,
Thank you for contacting the Intel Embedded Community.
We want to inform you that the mentioned Operating Systems are unlisted as supported by the cited processor. You can confirm this information on page 3 of the https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/platform-briefs/atom-d2000-n2000-nm10-platform-brief.pdf Platform brief Intel(R) Atom(TM) Processor N2000 and D2000 Series with Intel(R) NM10 Express Chipset.
Due to this fact, this should be tested and validated on your own.
Please let us know if this information is useful.

What I need is that:
There is a driver GMA500 developed by Alan Cox that works fine.
But Red hat can´t certify it because it is no supported by Intel.
We have more than 10.000 instaltated equipments and forecast for other 20.000.
It's mandatory for my customer that they are certify in RED HAT 6 y RED HAT 7.
I NEED HELP FROM INTEL IN ORDER TO GET SUPPORT FROM INTEL TO RED HAT.
I think that Intel is a very serious company and must understand our problem and find a solution.
Thanks in advance.

Hello DIBAL-InmaculadaLopez
Intel provides this driver for the GMA 3600: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/21938/Graphics-Linux-PowerVR-Graphics-Media-Drivers https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/21938/Graphics-Linux-PowerVR-Graphics-Media-Drivers
Take into account that the driver was designed to work with:
* Kernel: 3.1.0
* Mesa GL: 7.11
* Xorg: 1.11
Notice that the driver is no longer maintained, it is provided "as is", so if it requires modifications to work with Red Hat 6/Red Hat 7, it should be performed by your company.
I hope this information is useful for you.
Best Regards,
Adolfo Sanchez.

Hello DIBAL-InmaculadaLopez
From your original message my understanding is that you needed an Graphic Driver that was developed by Intel, so you could certify your platform with Red Hat, so I pointed to that page.
From your response it seems that you were already aware of that driver.
-Red Hat did not accept the suggested driver as viable option? If not could you please specify why?
-Could you also please indicate what are the requirements of the driver you are looking for to get your platform certified?
Best Regards,
Adolfo Sanchez

From the report of Red Hat:
Literal words
"There is no cooperation from Intel and Intel doesn´t provide the specification for programming the chip. It is impossible for Red Hat engineering creates a driver from cero for RHEL6 kernel version."

Hello DIBAL-InmaculadaLopez
We already provide an open source code for GMA 3600 series, the Red Hat team doesn't need to work from zero.
Is there any reason that the Red Hat engineers can't adapt the source code of this driver: /downloadcenter.intel.com/download/21938/Graphics-Linux-PowerVR-Graphics-Media-Drivers https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/21938/Graphics-Linux-PowerVR-Graphics-Media-Drivers to their Operating System?
Have you consulted with them about this code? What was their reply?
Best Regards,
Adolfo Sanchez
