Hi there!
I can't get mainline linux kernel to work on Z3740 based device.
Basically it boots, but hangs after random time(it may hang on boot or after several hours) I think cpu/io load related to freezing.
Here is bug I found and its still open with no solution.
That bug about i915 module.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88012 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88012
But my device hang event without i915 loaded.
here is bug I created with details:
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107731 https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107731
is this a good place to ask bay trail specific question?
Also that's very sad sleep mode not implemented on bay trail.

Hello swex,
Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.
In order to help you please address this type of questions to the https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/forms/intelligent-systems/get-help-external.html Embedded Design Assistance, where you be connected with a representative in your area, who could possibly help with your project and/or a more appropriate processor selection. Because unfortunately the Bay Trail -T Z37xx is on the "off-roadmap" and its support is for limited manufacturers. For this reason, this processor is unsupported through this channel. Click on http://ark.intel.com/products/series/76761/Intel-Atom-Processor-Z3700-Series this link to learn more about the specifications of the Z37xx family.
Best Regards,
Carlos_A
