PCH chip doesn't work and keep reboot on SLP_S3#

One of our motherboards uses a QM67 PCH chip, which is repeatedly powered on and off. Measure signal SLP_S3#, output shows a square wave, high level is 3.3V and hold for 470 ms, then go low level for 5 seconds, and then, back to 3.3V. The process is in a cycle and repeat again and again. As a result, all the working voltages on the motherboard are raised and pulled down by SLP_S3#. BTW, no clock output can be observed on QM67, PLT_RESET# is keeping low in the process.

The QM67 chipset (PCH) is almost 13 years old and has long been discontinued. There's not much that we can do for you here.

Sorry,

Hello @jackey_Yao,

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.

As n_scott_pearson mentioned, being a discontinued device, we don't even have the proper documentation available, so, we can't do much with this.

Best regards,
