Hello, I'm searching for some informations about i7-1185GRE/i7-1186GRE.
I can't find any descriptions about suffix "R". What does that mean in Intel 11th generation? I know G is for Integrated graphics and E for embedded. But what does R stands for?

Hello @TJAhn0,

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.

I have verified internally but the letter R were not included in documents like the following:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000058567/processors/intel-core-processors.html

But I do think that the R is related to being Industrial SKUs.

They have similar specs like the G7E SKUs but with some features like TCC and FuSa, besides being designed for an Industrial environment.

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/208076/intel-core-i71185g7e-processor-12m-cache-up-to-4-40-ghz/specifications.html

vs

https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/208082/intel-core-i71185gre-processor-12m-cache-up-to-4-40-ghz.html

And here you may check the other GRE SKUs if you like.

https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/208078/intel-core-i51145gre-processor-8m-cache-up-to-4-10-ghz.html

https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/208074/intel-core-i31115gre-processor-6m-cache-up-to-3-90-ghz.html

I do hope this helps. If you need anything else, let me know.

Best regards,

Thanks for your kind and specific reply. Your answer really helped me well. I'm assuming that suffix R means "Rugged"...
Thank you Diego.

Hello @TJAhn0,

You are very welcome.

I think that too, it may be something like "rugged" but didn't find official information, it has sense being Industrial SKUs.

Best regards,
