Hi all,
suddenly my Ethernet stopped working. It is not connected with Windows 11 since it worked on it pretty fine. Stopped working at the beginning of the month.
Laptop is Dell Latitude 5580 and I've tried everything I could found on internet.
1) Windows Update - everything is up to date
2) Diagnose problem on Ethernet - it says that my cable is broken. Please note that I've tested the same cable on MacBook Air and it's working without any problems.
3) Changed Duplex in settings
4) Reset IP config
5) Reset modem/router
Also tried other cable (which is working) putting directly into the modem but Ethernet is still not working.
Here is what I get when pinging the 127.0.0.1 without any internet connection (ethernet cable is plugged in).
Could someone help? It's frustrating already.
P.S. Attached also the scan.
Thanks in advance,
Marko

Hi Buca89,
Thank you for posting in Intel Ethernet Communities.
I'm sorry to hear that you are encountering issue on your I219-LM Ethernet Adapter.
However the current Intel Ethernet driver might not going to work in your Dell system.
Have you tried asking Dell support for troubleshooting steps that you can perform? You may consider checking with them the latest BIOS as well as drivers to see if it will help in resolving the issue.
We can also try to check this with our engineers. However, please be reminded that we might have a limited support since you are using an OEM system.
The system/platform OEM manufacturer will have different instructions to assistance since they have customized drivers, firmware and software to enable or alter features on your card.
To avoid any potential installation incompatibilities on your OEM card, Intel recommends that you check with your OEM and use the software they provide so you don’t lose features or customizations of the Ethernet adapter.

You also can refer to the latest Dell drivers for the I219-LM Adapter.

Looking forward to hear from you soon.

Are you saying it was just an issue with the contact pins?
