Dear Intel Ethernet Driver Experts,
The following is the good news.
In a nutshell, in the field, there was a challenge with MTU and it was blocking progress.
This is with respect to X710 and i40e driver.
Doing ethtool -r interface cleared the MTU block.
Wanted to learn in X710 i40e driver the hooks that we, Intel provided for ethtool -r.
Contact for Driver Expert will helpful.
Who is the expert contact please?
Much appreciated.

Hi MJay,
Thank you for posting at Wired Communities. Can you help clarify what is the hook that you refer here for ethtool-r? Please elaborate further for me to better check for you the contact. Thank you.

Sharon,
This is prompted from an issue we are having with the X710 (Fortville). The ethtool -r command has clears up an issue that we are completely stumped on. The only current way to clear the issue is to pull the cable from the ethernet port and put it back. The ethtool -r command is clearing it up also so we are trying to discover what functions ethtool -r does on the X710 Fortville that might account for this.
Best Regards,
Don
