Hello,
I have a verizon T661, with a Intel 82566DM ethernet 'device' (i dont know the proper name) My internet is very slow on this computer and not on the others in my house, so i figured i should update this driver. I've downloaded the new driver, but when i try to install it says that the current driver does not support upgrades. And that i have to delete the current one to instal the new one. i went into device manager, delete the device, checked the box to delete the driver, then went back for another try, but the same message appears. At this moment the old driver is gone and a windows vista driver installed itself. How do i get the latest intel driver to work?
thanks in advance,
Matthijs

Looking at your description, you probably have Intel(R) Network Connections installed. You should use Windows* control panel's "Uninstall a program" to remove the old version of Intel(R) Network Connections. If the uninstall fails, you can find some other ideas at /message/118046# 118046 http://communities.intel.com/message/118046# 118046.
I hope this helps.

Have you installed a latest service pack for windows vista? This could help...
