Hello,
is it possible to use the I210-IS Ethernet-Controller without an additional Flash to get the communication with an external sfp module started?
Is there something special to configure in the .txt file, which will be loaded through the eeupdate Program, to configure the i210-IS.
The communication is made between the i210-IS and an 1.25Gbps Multimode SFP Transceiver (From: TC TEK) "FL SFP SX".
Communication wiring is made between i210-IS and FL SFP SX module with following pins of the I210-IS:
SET_P, SET_N, SER_P, SER_N, SFP_I2C_DATA, SFP_I2C_CLK, SRDS_SIG_DET.
I downloaded the iNVM images for the I210, but couldn't find a proper .txt image for an I210-IS design with an SFP module of usage.

Hi kfff,
Thank you for posting in Wired Ethernet Communities.
I'd suggest checking the thread below found in our embedded communities, User (CPC1311) was also using the SerDes flashless mode and looking for input configuration file.
https://embedded.communities.intel.com/thread/7648
According to Carlos A of embedded communities, the configuration file can be found in document # 513655 and this requires Privileged account.
Please check the steps below for updating your Embedded Design Center account to Privileged type:
To request an upgrade from your Basic EDC account to a Privileged account:
1. go to http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/embedded/embedded-design-center-support.html 2. click on "Manage Your Intel Profile" found in the "Manage Your Account" section of the page.
In case you have additional question, kindly post in our embedded communities thread.
Hope this helps.
regards,
Vince
