Hi, i am looking at the NIC as above which is 4P 25Gbps
It states that it is spec as PCIE 4.0 x16 and it is physically as such as well
If i were to slot this into a PCIE slot which is physically x16 in length, but had a bandwidth of PCIE 4.0 x8, would it be detected and useable ?
I should think it does since PCIE 4.0 x8 has a theoretical max bandwidth of 16GB/s or 128Gbps

Hi Gordon-Teo,
Thank you for posting in Intel Ethernet Communities.
Regarding your inquiry about E810-XXVDA4, the maximum slots for PCIe 4.0 is x16. Therefore usage of PCIe 4.0 x8 is detectable and compatible with this product as long as you are using PCIe 4.0.
If you have any other questions related to this, please let me know.
Best Regards,
