Intel I350 - boot Ubuntu without open-iscsi installed via Intel iSCSI Remote Boot

Is the open-iscsi installed in Ubuntu necessary for Intel I350 iSCSI Remote Boot?

It is recommended to check with Ubuntu. We do not have the Ubuntu driver support for I350, https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/59679/Intel-Ethernet-Controller-I350-Series Checking on the Ubuntu site, I found that it was stated on the website https://help.ubuntu.com/lts/serverguide/iscsi-initiator.html (Please note this website is for your reference only, Intel does not endorse or control the content of this website).
