Intel Pro/100 VE Network Connection on 300 Mbps connection

I am upgrading from a snail's pace DSL connection to a 300 Mbps fiber connection. Can I still access the internet with my old Intel Pro/100 VE Network Connection if only at 100 Mbps or less?

Yes, it will connect to the router at 100Mbps and move data at that rate regardless of the additional capabilities of the fiber connection.
