On the download page it is clearly presented a download link for Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) I219-V...

The issue(s) are:

1. SSU.exe does not detect the HW too but presented at the device manager as a missing HW & driver

2. Installed a fresh MS Server 2012 with equal issue!

3. Installed Win 10 Pro and using the installer it shows the net1ic64.inf with 12.15.23.7 version

4. on same path are drivers for Win64/ NDIS62...NDIS65 meaning drivers for the WIn7....Win10

While using a brand new main-board with B150N chipset

Any help is welcome

Hi HP,

Thank you for the post. Just to double check if you downloaded the driver from below link>?

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/21694/Intel-Network-Adapter-Driver-for-Windows-Server-2012-?product=82186

What is the board you used? Have you try check and use the board vendor's driver?

Yes, while using the given & latest GigaByte (mainboard ITX-Mini GA-B150N Phoenix-WIFI) and using google, showed your given link & later I used this SW kit.

The same issue is also on the WIFI driver too (also an Intel product & Drivers!

Now how to proceed

1. After google it showed how to hack the e1d63x64.INF (Intel 64 bit extension Platform Only, ; Windows 8 64 bit extension)

2. While my device ID is: Device Instance ID PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B8&SUBSYS_E0001458&REV_31

3. This device ID is not given within the INF file O;)

4. Edit the INF File: NDIS63 >> e1d63x64.inf

A) remove all in

[ControlFlags]

B) Add in

[Intel.NTamd64.6.2.1]

%E15B8NC.DeviceDesc% = E15B8.6.2.1, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B8&SUBSYS_E0001458%E15B8NC.DeviceDesc% = E15B8.6.2.1, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B8&SUBSYS_E0001458&REV_31

C) Add in

[Intel.NTamd64.6.2]

%E15B8NC.DeviceDesc% = E15B8.6.2.1, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B8%E15B8NC.DeviceDesc% = E15B8.6.2.1, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B8&SUBSYS_00008086%E15B8NC.DeviceDesc% = E15B8.6.2.1, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B8&SUBSYS_00011179%E15B8NC.DeviceDesc% = E15B8.6.2.1, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B8&SUBSYS_E0001458%E15B8NC.DeviceDesc% = E15B8.6.2.1, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B8&SUBSYS_E0001458&REV_31

5. Boot 2012 in Test Mode

@echo Server 2012 Test Mode ON

pause

bcdedit -set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS

bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON

@echo now Reboot

pause

shutdown -r -t 0

6. Install using the new folder using INF file: Now I219-V will be presented

7. Ignore the missing driver signing

8. Remove Boot in Test Mode

@echo Server 2012 Test Mode OFF

pause

bcdedit -set loadoptions ENABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS

bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING OFF

@echo now Reboot

pause

shutdown -r -t 0

9. Go and have some fun with beers at the beach O:)

Hi again,

1) Are you encountering any issue using the driver : No works as a charm

2) Have you tried contact Gigabyte board for customized driver: Yes, they are pointing to INTEL

Question: Do you plan to add or correct the INF file so that the V219-V installation using your given driver, works out of the box, as listed?

Cheers

Hi HP,

The driver posted on our website does supports I219-V, if this is required customization for the onboard NIC on Gigabyte board, you can check with Gigabyte for the customized driver.

Hi,

Gigabyte does nothing at all and will provide nothing more.... stating they do not support MS Server 2012 for this main board as also the Intel WIFI does not work too (what is more complicated while needs first some controlling driver for the WIFI device)..

I modified/used/successful your given driver & INF file for Server 2012 as seen in an earlier message.

Currently I am happy with the current Intel V219-V driver.

Stupid that this stuff has to be done this way... why???

I am running a Gigabyte GA-Z170XP-SLI motherboard with an Intel i5-6600K running Server 2022!!!!

Thanks again!
