I recently got a new mobo, and upon installing win 10, i discovered the driver mentioned in the title (Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (7) I219-V) is not functioning properly.
It has no connection what so ever.
I have tried to update the driver in the following ways:
Mobo disc
Mobo manufacturer's site
Intels driver download site
Windows device manager
Even after the attempted updates, it still doesn't work. I have tried resetting my CMOS, and it did not have any effect.
Attempting to uninstall the driver is unsuccessful, as it automatically returns.
The LAN port itself when plugged in has LED's flashing.
The LAN controller is enabled/activated in my BIOS.
My BIOS has been flashed to the newest version.
I have windows 10 updated.
Even Intel's own driver updater doesn't do anything for me.
The error code I get from the device is:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.
The mobo in question is the MSI B360 Gaming Plus
Is it a possibility that the mobo is faulty? The board is new, and other than the described issue, it works perfectly fine.

Hi DOVAHNOOB,
Thank you for posting in Wired Ethernet Community.
Code 10 error would normally indicate driver or hardware issue. We would suggest to look into the following information for further isolation.
1. What is the Windows 10 version you've installed? If you're currently in Windows 10 version 1803, Have you tried to install Windows 10 version 1709?
2. MSI support (https://www.msi.com/support https://www.msi.com/support) might be able to provide additional assistance regarding your issue. We've seen user posting in MSI forum with code 10 error after BIOS update with the same board (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=304922.0 https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=304922.0).

I knew that few users restore the bios settings , after every bios update .
Have you tried to restore BIOS settings ?
try to boot the computer in safemode with networking , if the ethernet is working in safemode means
in normal mode , some app is blocking the driver.
at last you can try to restore the previous BIOS version ,if it possible.

Hi SebastianSlrzn,
We'd suggest to check this https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=305804.0 MSI thread for assistance.
Intel(R) Ethernet Connection I219-V is an Ethernet Controller integrated to your motherboard. MSI might have customized solution for your issue.

Yes, thank you. Msi forum solved this problem. As you say, they give me a custom and no public solution.
For further users with this same problem (I see many), please, go to MSI forum. It's a msi problem, not from Intel.
Please, close the post if is needed
