Is my Intel I219-V driver latest?

Hi All,

Is the driver shown in the screenshot attached (12.19.2.50) the latest one for Intel I219-V in my Lenovo ThinkPad T480s laptop running W11x64? If so why is there no green check in the circle next to it confirming that? (such check in the circle could be seen next to the Wireless-AC 8265 driver below)

Thanks in advance!

Hello dandreye1,

Thank you for your post on the Intel Ethernet Communities forum.

Based on the information you provided, it appears that you are using the Lenovo Thinkpad T480s with an ethernet driver version of 12.19.2.50. We cannot confirm if this is the latest driver version since in this case, the adapter driver is provided by the OEM (Lenovo).

Intel only offers a generic driver, with the latest version being 28.0. You can download it from this link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/15084/intel-ethernet-adapter-complete-driver-pack.html

We recommend that you contact the OEM manufacturer (Lenovo) to verify if a newer driver version is available from their end.

Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Hello Irwan_Intel,

Thanks for your reply. I've just tried installing that generic driver version 28 you're referring to and got version 12.19.2.45 installed, which is numerically lower than mine and has release date earlier too (early 2022). IIRC that's exactly the version I had before upgrading it to 12.19.2.50 (it must have come from the laptop maker's website). Neither of these 2 versions help make the green check mark in the circle show up next to it, so I decided to revert back to 12.19.2.50 for now. I can live w/o that check mark next to it though, just found such behaviour discrepancy strange as another two Intel devices (UHD Graphics 620 and Wireless-AC 8265) that I upgraded with the most recent driver versions I found on Intel (and not laptop maker's) website did get that check mark displayed next to them as expected.

Thanks & Regards,

D.

Hi dandreye1,

Thanks for sharing your experience. It's possible that the issue could be related to your specific applications configuration or operating system. If you're not experiencing any issues with the device, then it's okay to live without the green check mark.

Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
