Is there any performance issue when configuring VLAN on a VF?

Jump to solution

Hi experts,

Is there any performance issue when configuring VLAN on a VF?

I add a vlan via libvirt as below. i assume it is the same as "ip link set SOME-DEV vf 1 vlan 213"

NIC is 82599ES.

Thanks,

Charto

Thanks for your comment. Since enabling vlan filter requiring some additional hardware resource i guess, I just want to make sure of this.
