Issue Installing Intel Network Adapter Driver – "Cannot Install Drivers. No Intel(R) Adapters are Pr

Hi Intel Community,

I’m trying to install the latest driver for my Intel network adapter, but the installation fails with the error message: "Cannot install drivers. No Intel(R) adapters are present on this computer." I’ve confirmed that my system uses an Intel Ethernet adapter, so I’m not sure why this is happening.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Checked the Device Manager, and the adapter is listed under “Other Devices” with a yellow exclamation mark.
  • Downloaded the driver directly from the Intel website and made sure it matches the adapter model.
  • Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver multiple times.

Could this be related to BIOS settings, or is there a specific process I need to follow to make the system recognize the adapter? Any troubleshooting tips or similar experiences would be really helpful!

Thanks in advance!

It could be related to the bios, but more likely the chipset device software.  Did you install the chipset inf/device software from your system/motherboard manufacturer?  If not, you should.

Also, So the Intel support engineers can have more information about your system, Please download and run the Intel System Support Utility (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows- ) for Windows. Select all data categories and then have it generate a report. Next, have the tool Save the report to a text file (don't try to use the Submit capability; it doesn't work). Finally, using the Drag and drop here or browse files to attach dialog below the edit box for the body of your response post, upload and attach this file to the response post.

Lastly, you are in the wrong forum.   You should be here.  But, do not worry, a moderator will move your post.
