Hi,
Quite a long time I am having a moderate number of packets being discarded while using my Windows 11 PC.
Sometimes online gaming experience is not quite good and specially while those discarded packets are occurring.
I've tried different driver versions from ASUS website (my motherboard is an ASUS Z690M PLUS D4 - Intel I219-V onboard NIC).
Could you please help me with that issue?
This is an output of the netstat -es command after using internet for 2 hours (browsing, watching videos etc):

Hi bbainfo,
Thank you for posting in Intel Ethernet Communities.
Regarding your issue, may I know if you have try to update the latest driver for Intel Ethernet i219V adapter? If no, you may want to update the driver following link below:
>Recommend to udpate via device manager instead of exe.file.
>Open zip file you downloaded above, follow steps below:
File Release 28.2.1->PRO2500->Winx64->choose NDIS68 (for Win10,Win11 & WS22) or Win11 for NetAdapterCx driver (Windows 11)
Let me know the outcome and we will assist you further.
Best Regards,

Today I am using the latest driver version available and to install it, I’ve followed the steps you provided. But the behavior still persists. It is very strange. I play online competitive games and using Wireshark I can see a lot of Malformed packets with TCP protocols.

Hi bbainfo,
Good day.
Thank you for your reply. As checking with our internal team, since you have completed driver pack update, the best effort that we can advise you is to refer you back to OEM Asus to assist you further. Asus will be able to assist you in this issue as they designed the firmware for the controller differently and may have suitable firmware or nvm update for your ethernet controller.
We apologies as we only able to help with best effort assistance for your issue and appreciate your cooperation and understanding on this.
Thank you
Best Regards,

It is still showing a lot of Discarded incoming packets, but it seems to be related to my ISP, as my Lenovo laptop - which also uses an Intel network card but different model - is showing the same behavior. The strange thing is: using my laptop wifi adapter Intel AX201, there are no discarded packets after hours of testing and I am using the same network, but instead of wired, it is wireless. I’ve also tried another router and the result is the same. I don’t know what else I can do. My ISP already replaced the fiber optic modem. Maybe they have some hidden issue on their network infrastructure

Should I use the drivers provided by Asus for my motherboard or the Intel website drivers?
Not only for network but in general (chipset, ME, GNA, etc)
