Hi,
I would like to ask you regarding the drivers of Intel “Niantic” 82599, “Fortville” X710, “Fortville” XL710 for Redhat linux 8
It seems that it hasn't been yet released and while changing Kernel version in RHEL8 ,
1 ) Would drivers of RHEL 7 work ?
I understood that drivers issuing are in progress now
2) How can I get official dates of driver release ?
Thanks a lot
Best Regards

Hello MELGA1,
Thank you for posting in Intel Ethernet Communities.
Before answering your two questions, let me share this links for the supported operating systems of Intel 82599 and X710.
https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/technical-specifications/82599-10-gbe-controller-feature-software-support.pdf
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000025890/network-and-i-o/ethernet-products.html
To answer your questions, since the OS is not yet validated with the NIC cards, it is hard to say if the driver will work or not since there is no testings done yet. And since it may require thorough testings to validate RHEL 8, there is no timeline on when they will release a driver or if they will include this cards to support RHEL 8.
If you have questions, please let us know.
Best regards,
