Hi,
We are using WGI210IT Ethernet controller for Ethernet application using PCIe Interface.
The WGI210IT is interfaced to i.Mx6Q through PCIe signals.
When we give the "lspci" Command in the Linux command window we are getting the following :
01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Device 1531 (rev 03)
Here the Device ID 1531 refers to 0x1531 - I210 with a blank Flash (tools only, not for driver) as per the Datasheet.
Is it referring that the I210 Device is blank or the Flash device attached to the I210 is Blank ?
Please help us with reply ASAP.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Nanjunda M

Hi Nanjunda M,
Thank you for contacting Intel.
The Device ID 1531 means the flash is in factory default settings, so it is not completely blank.
Datasheet:

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
We understood that we need to program the flash to identify the I210 device and we need to use some utility tool (eg: eepromARM tool ) for this.
So is it possible to share the tool for ARM based machine for flash programming.
Thanks & Regards,
Nanjunda M

HI Sandy,
Thanks for the concern.
I did contact Intel Business Link Support.
But I was unable to post the issue to them for few days, then finally I posted it 2 days back.
But the response from there was to contact the Technical support Intel.
But then they rerouted back to Intel Premier Support.
After all this, I posted here as well as contacted EDC.
and got the tool that can be modified to use in my system.
So, finally I got the tool I wanted.
Thanks for the support.

Nanjunda M
