Hi,
We have an X520-DA2 in an Ubuntu 18.04 machine, performing an lspci - lists these devices as :-
01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82598EB 10-Gigabit AF Dual Port Network Connection (rev 01)
01:00.1 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82598EB 10-Gigabit AF Dual Port Network Connection (rev 01)
Was the X520-DA2 released on both chipset variants i.e 82598EB & 82599EB?
Thanks

Hello IDepa11,
Thank you for the response.
Based on the PBA that you provided E37002-010, the model of your Ethernet Adapter is Intel® 10 Gigabit AF DA Dual Port Server Adapter. You may refer to this link on how to identify the model of your adapter using PBA. Just search for the for the first 6 alphanumeric of the PBA number.
With this, looking at the product brief of Intel® 10 Gigabit AF DA Dual Port Server Adapter, we can confirm that the controller used on this adapter is Intel 82598EB which is accurate on the output lspci command.
Please visit this link for the Product Brief of the adapter. Scroll down to Technical Features and check Controller-processor.
While Intel® Ethernet Converged Network Adapter X520 uses 82599 Ethernet Controller.

Hello IDepa11,
Thank you for posting in Intel Ethernet Communities.
While we are checking on this, can you share the exact model of the product as well as the complete markings that can be located on the white sticker of the adapter? This would help us identify if the adapter you are using is Intel Retail or OEM version.
You may refer to this link to Identify Your Intel® Network Adapter Model Using Serial Number:

Hi,
Thanks for your response; checking out the label did in fact let me know we don’t have an X520 card after all.
Many thanks.
