no ethernet access with a fresh mobo

no access to the internet with a perfectly fine ethernet cable and i have a feeling its because my asus prime b660m-a d4 motherboard is fresh out of the box and needs to update drivers and idea on how to tackle this problem? i did some research and think my next option would be to buy a usb drive and try ez flash 3. any help on this situation would be greatly appreciated!

And the place for support is ASUS.   They provide support on their hardware.  Since this is a new board, make them provide you support.
