Avalon OpenCores MAC

Hello all, 

This post is in reference to the Avalon version of the OpenCores MAC posted here: http://www.alteraforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3665  I'm trying to schedule my time over the next few months and wanted to find out how much usage the MAC is getting if any. I also wanted to know if there were any requests on what if anything should be done with the MAC (i.e. Moved to a permanent repository, feature enhancements, bug fixes, etc.).  So if you are willing could you provide your opinion on the following:  1 - Are you using the MAC? 2 - Are there any features or updates you think need to be added? 3 - Are there any bugs you've found that need fixing? 4 - Should the MAC be moved to a permanent repository? If so do you have a suggestion as to where. I know it has been checked into the ecos repository by another forum user.  Thank you for any info you can provide, Jake

I am checking if project can be realized : logic elements used (near 2400 ?), superloop mode vs OS, memory ... But for a (very) simple tcp/IP application, I am going to employ this MAC in superloop mode if software is easy to create. UCOSII is too expensive for 100 products and needs formation. Maybe I am wrong.  2 - In document, You (or anyone else) should say if it works with Quartus 9.0 sp2 for exemple. Please, update the document date "February 20, 2008" to "July 2008". Briefly what are "system requirements" ?  Why not adding a link to an example of "simple socket server" ?   3 -   4 - Do you mean a permanent site where to download this MAC ? Why not.  Useful job, it would be what i am expecting.
