CPRI Core V14.1 register is unmodifiable (tx_prot_version)

My design uses CPRI megacore and I am unable to modify register 0x58 from 1. The link works at any rate but the register is unmodifiable.

Thinking that maybe BBU needs to determine the register value, I've modified Z.2.0 via Control_Word update method.

Core receives BBU scramble-data, scrambling data is set to send to BBU but...

1. The programmed Scrambling number is not used (BBU receives scrambling enabled but all zeroes).

2. Version number is received as 2 due to Control word override.

3. tx_prot_version register is not update-able to 2 (or any number).

Has anyone seen this behavior?
