Custom Instruction for NIOS (FFT, FIR or similar)

Hi all, 

 has anyone implemented a FFT custom instruction for NIOS, in order to provide hardware acceleration? I don't want to use the C2H tool. I'd rather use the FFT megacore (possibly with Simulink and DSP Builder).   I'm looking for a design example to help me getting started. It could be another similar core, such as a FIR or a simple multiply accumulate function.   I already have a good experience with the FFT but I am new to NIOS.   Thanks

Can you please tell where we can find the reference design in zip format, which we can download from altera website? I am not able to find it. ex. executable file gold_code_generator.zip

 You can download the gold code generator from the MATLAB site 1) http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/17440-generation-of-gold-codes  and if you want to download any Altera reference design then go to the altera web site and click on the reference design then you get all the reference design which altera have and then click on the selected reference design which you want to download and then log in. after that you are able to download the complete reference design in a zip format :)  i think that much info is sufficient for you
