SGDMA Basic help

Hello i need to learn how to use a SGDMA, i've read altera documentation but i would like to know if there is a simple refence design that reads from a memory and writes in another one. 

 

I've saw this one -> http://www.nioswiki.com/exampledesigns/sgdma but it has no memory-to-memory.

why you don´t just connect another on-chip-memory to the linked system?
