Board installation

Hi;

I have the board of the DE1-Soc. I'm trying to implement the application here (https://www.intel.co.jp/content/dam/www/programmable/us/en/pdfs/literature/hb/opencl-sdk/ug-aoclstd-getting-started.pdf) with the Intel® FPGA SDK for OpenCL. I work on Quartus 18.1 standart edition. But I'm also having trouble with custom platform installation. First of all I don't fully understand what a custom platform is. How do I install this on my system? I've followed the steps here (https://www.terasic.com.tw/attachment/archive/836/DE1SOC_OpenCL_v02.pdf), but I'm always having errors. I could not find the answers to the questions that asked earlier in the forum. I'd appreciate it if you could help me.

Thank you.

Hi,

Custom platform means your custom board or in your case DE1-SOC devkit by terasic,

Could you elaborate what Errors are you facing ?

How you following the step by steps as explained in How to Video series ?

Hi MUsman,

The board_env.xml file shows exactly where it is shown but it gives an error as follows.

"Cannot find board_env.xml in C:\intelFPGA\17.1\hld\board\terasic\de1_soc;"

In my first attempt, AOCL_BOARD_PACKAGE_ROOT showed the position I mentioned(C:\intelFPGA\17.1\hld\board\terasic\de1_soc), it found the a10_ref board. In the following attempts, the above error occurred.

I'm really stuck here.
