Hi AZeli,

we can connect USB blaster to Cyclone 10 LP eval kit but.

  1. USB Blaster Programming J2 Header uses JTAG mode only.
  2. To connect it to EPCQ we need to use build in USB blaster using USB connector J17.

Let me know if this has helped resolve the issue you are facing or if you need any further assistance.

Best Regards,

Anand

Thank you for the response.

I connected a USB blaster to J2 and scanned the chain. I see two devices - the FPGA and a virtual device. I didn't see the CPLD on the chain, which led me to suspect that there is a separate JTAG chain for it. I think I also figured out the EPCQ already.

Is there a way to eliminate the virtual device from the chain?

Hi AZeli,

Yes, can eliminate the virtual device from the chain using DIP switch SW1.

SW1.4 Logic 0 = Vitual JTAG Bypass

Logic 1 = Vitual JTAG Enable
