Hi everyone,
Just wanted to ask for some general ideas about a cost effective solution for prototyping a DisplayPort RX application, mainly just analyzing basic video parameters and possibly storing the video to a DDR to display later. Which FPGA family/kits would be the best to use?
Any relevant information will be appreciated.

Hi KimchiPort,
Apologize for the delayed response.
For cost effective solution is depends on the customer's application.
Based on your brief requirements, it seems like cyclone10 device would be sufficient for basic video parameters.
It has support up to 4k applications.
You may refer to below link for more information on IP support:
Hope this answers your question.
Thank you.

Hi ZH_Intel,
Thank you for the reply and sharing the links. DisplayPort IP - Device support family also lists Cyclone V. Could you provide more info on why not using Cyclone V?
The example designs does not include Cyclone V. Just thinking how feasible would it be to write the firmware code by myself considering I am very new to fpga programming.

KimchiPort
