I'm using DE0 nano development kit. Is that make any sense that the kit current consumption is about 0.5A?? without any code on it!

the kit is working fine, I can load VHDL code, the LED's working well etc.

is there some low power mode that I should know about him? or my kit is bad??

Hello Welcome to INTEL forum. From my understanding your dev kit current consumption 0.5A without any code and working find. May I know is there any warning or error message during VHDL code loading? could you elaborate further on how you found out the kit current consumption is 0.5A?

I found that the kit consumption is 0.5A when I've connected the kit with the external power connector to DC POWER ANALYZER.

Hello Done some checking with internal team. The DE0-Nano Development and Education Board belong to Terrasic and apologize that we are not sure about the error as this is built by Terrasic. It would be better if you could contact Terrasic for enquiry related to Terrasic board.
