Dear Intel team,

Thank you for your support.

One of our customers troubles using PL-USB-BLASTER-RCN.

1. Start Quartus Prime
2. Open the target project or prepare .sof / .pof files
.sof → Temporarily write to SRAM during development
.pof → Permanently write to Flash when shipping the product, etc.
3. Open Programmer
Tools → Programmer
4. Select USB-Blaster in Hardware Setup
Select USB-Blaster from "Hardware Setup" in the upper left
5. Scan the JTAG chain
Press "Auto Detect" to recognize the FPGA
6. Add the file to be written
Add .sof or .pof with "Add File"
Check the following according to the type:
·

.sof → "Program/Configure"
.pof → "Program", "Verify", "Erase", etc. as necessary
7. Execute writing
Click the "Start" button But error message shows.

Can you give some advice?

Kind Regards,

Takashi

Hi,
important info missing.
- Which device?
- What's the detail error info in Quartus message window? It tells which operation failed and why.

Regarding points in your post, you normally don't need to perform auto detect. Programming file has all necessary device info.

Hi,

  1. Is there any other error message shown? Can you provide the full screenshot of the quartus programmer when the error shown?
  2. Can you try to do one by one. As example, program first. Then followed by others such as verify and erase.

Regards,

Aiman
