We have downloaded the Nios II simple socket server Ethernet example for CVGT from https://fpgacloud.intel.com/devstore/platform/16.0.0/Standard/nios-ii-simple-socket-server-
ethernet-example-for-cvgt/
and tested successfully the simple socket server (SSS) with the
"Simple Socket Server (RGMII)" software template in Eclipse.
We have observed that the SSS example uses a parallel NOR flash connected to the fpaga. But in our custom made hardware that uses a Cyclone-5-GX fpga does not contain a parallel NOR flash connected to the fpga.
Is there any usage of the same flash for RGMII? If so, how can the same be avoided. Please explain.

Hi,
I believe that the flash device been used in the example to boot the NIOS II. You can change the design to fit your custom board. What flash device you are using?
