VCC pin connection of JTAG chain

The red box in the figure below recommends that we connect the VCC of the download cable to 2.5V.

If we connect the VCC of the download cable to 3.3V and provide clamping diodes between the FPGA and JTAG as shown in the below , is it feasible?

Hi VHou0,

 

We recommend to power up the VCC of the download cable with a 2.5-V supply from VCCA.

Other than this value, we are not recommend and you can try use other value on your own risk.
