What does the parallel interface between the onboard USB-Blaster and the FPGA do?

I've noticed on some dev kits that there is a parallel intereface between the onboard USB-Blaster and the FPGA and I was wondering what it did or if it was possible to use it.

Examples are the

  • SoCKit: Schematic can be found here. On page 11 is the USB Blaster and the signals of interest are in the bottom left, fairly generically named USB_Something or USB_B2_Something.
  • MAX 10 FPGA 10M50 Evaluation Kit: Schematic can be found here. On page 16 is the USB Blaster and the signals of interest are on the right, under the label MAX10 USB Interface.

It looks like some sort of FIFO interface similar to the FT245R so can confirm and/or give me some advice as to how to use it?

Thanks

Hi hreysenbach,

The On-Board USB-Blaster required license in order to use it. Once your purchase the license, the project file are provided ( Design Guide)

I hope this will help.

Thanks
