Found this thread indicating the exact same issue I am having. It's a Lenovo Idepad Gaming 3 laptop with an RTX 3050 and I5-11320H.

THe in built monitor caps every software at 120fps max because the in-built monitor is a 120hz display. Now i've seen other play around 300 fps on the same device on Youtube. So i know it's not impossible, but i don't recognise any issues which could be causing this idiotic cap.

Found adaptive sync as an option in the Intel Command center though it's greyed out. Tried updating, resetting, fresh installing all drivers but the cap remains. I'd already had a discussion with Lenovo support but the idiots refused to help me, claiming that my product is out of warranty. They never even attempted to hold a discussion on possible solutions.

Please let me know if you can figure something out.

Hello kazuri1050,

I'm currently addressing the issue you've raised. To assist with further investigation, please provide the following details:

  • When did the capped FPS issue start?
  • Were there any recent changes made before this issue arose?
  • Please install our generic graphics driver version 32.0.101.6651, as I see you are using the OEM driver version 31.0.101.4502, and check if the problem persists. *Consider performing a clean installation.
  • If the issue continues, install IGCC BETA, navigate to Preferences, and select Global Settings.

I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

JeanetteC.

Hello kazuri1050,

Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.

To get a better understanding of the issue and be able to provide an effective recommendation, please provide the missing key information here:

1) Can you confirm if this is the exact laptop device you have?

https://www.amazon.de/Lenovo-IdeaPad-Notebook-I5-11320H-GeForce/dp/B0BGPPGF5K

2) May I know what game/application caps at 120?

3) Please provide your Intl Graphics Command Center (IGCC) version you are using.

4) Please share your system configuration so I can help check and isolate the issue. This could be possible by downloading the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* software. When the download is complete, launch SSU.exe.

  • Scan: Check the box Everything.
  • Click Scan.
  • Review: When finished scanning, click Next.
  • Click Save (.txt).
  • Attach the SSU log file as you reply.

I will wait for your reply so I can fully check and provide possible next steps to take.

Best regards,

JeanetteC.

Hello, thanks for the generic driver tip. That seemed to have done the job. My fps stands unlocked. What a boon,

Though, now i have new issues to deal with.

1. The Scaling drop down menu in the software glitches out my screen and crashes the software when i select GPU Scaling.

The screen goes black and back every second and never seems to recover till i end the process through task manager.

No clue what the option should be doing, but i'm pretty sure it shouldn't be doing this.

2. You've removed custom scaling options from the software, which ruin my gaming experience should i wish to lower my in-game resolution. The game goes into centered mode instead of stretched which makes it harder to play highly competetive games.

Please offer solutions.

Thank you for the previous ones too.

Hello kazuri1050,

I'm pleased to hear that the generic graphics driver version 32.0.101.6651 resolved the issue. For the new scaling problem, I recommend starting a new thread. This will enable us to concentrate on this specific issue and offer more effective assistance.

I will now close this thread. If you need help in the future, please submit a new question, as this thread will no longer be monitored.
