How to disable V-Sync under Intel Iris Xe

Hello.
I have a massive problem with the games Baldur's Gate 2 and Diablo 2.
When I start the game, the screen flickers like crazy. It's unplayable that way.

My system:
I use a Dell Notebook with  the 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1280P 1.80 GHz and Intel Iris Xe Graphic Card and Windows 11.

I searched for answers all over the internet, and it is said that I should disable VSync and then it would work....

The problem is, that I do not find that option anywhere.
How do I turn VSync off ?

When I search for that option in the Intel Graphics Command Center there is no such option.

Can someone please help me?

Hello FO_CAS,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I can imagine how frustrating this would be for you. I would like to let you know that all the gaming-related features were moved from Intel® Graphics Command Center to Intel® Arc™ Control.

If the following steps do not work, I recommend you check the game settings to confirm if the option is available there or to get in contact with Dell to confirm if VSync can be disabled on their laptop.

Hello FO_CAS,

Thanks for your response. Before I continue further I would like to confirm if you followed the steps provided using the Intel® Graphics Command Center (Intel® GCC) and did not work. Also, let me know if this option to disable the V-Sync inside the game is available.

I will be waiting for your confirmation.

  1. Right-click on the desktop and select "Display Settings."

  2. Scroll down and click on "Graphics Settings" at the bottom of the display settings window.

  3. In the Graphics Settings window, click on "Browse" to find the .exe file of the game you want to modify. Locate the Baldur's Gate 2 and Diablo 2 executables on your system. They are usually in the game's installation directory.

  4. Once you've added the game, click on it to select it, then click on "Options."

  5. In the Options menu, you should see a setting for "Vertical Sync." Set this to "Off" to disable V-Sync for the selected game.

  6. Click "Save" and close the Graphics Settings window.

Hello FO_CAS,

I am sorry to know that the issue persists. At this point, I recommend you get in contact with Dell to confirm if the laptop has the option to disable V-Sync and look for additional support for any other problem with the laptop.

Thanks for your comprehension.
