Is Intel integrated graphics good enough for running PS2 BIOS on PCSX2?

I’m using a laptop with Intel integrated graphics (Iris Xe) and wondering if it’s capable of handling PCSX2 with a proper PS2 BIOS file  . I want to play classic PS2 games smoothly without lag or crashes.

Has anyone tested PS2 emulators on Intel GPUs? Any specific settings or BIOS configurations that help optimize performance for integrated graphics?

Hi johen,

Thank you for posting in the community. I've reviewed the system requirements for PCSX2, and according to their website, the minimum compatible graphics card should have a PassMark G3D Mark rating of around 3000, such as the GeForce GTX 750, Radeon RX 560, or Intel Arc A380. When comparing the Intel Arc A380 to the Iris Xe, there's a significant performance gap.

However, I recommend reaching out to PCSX2 community forum for further clarification on whether your laptop's integrated GPU (iGPU) is compatible with their application. You can find their system requirements through this link. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to let me know.
