What laptop model number and what processor model number?

So the Intel support engineers can have more information about your system, Please download and run the Intel System Support Utility (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows- ) for Windows. Select all data categories and then have it generate a report. Next, have the tool Save the report to a text file (don't try to use the Submit capability; it doesn't work). Finally, using the Drag and drop here or browse files to attach dialog below the edit box for the body of your response post, upload and attach this file to the response post.

Hi Mink,

After checking internally, I have some recommendations that I'd like you to try and in case that you are faced with the same issue, let me know and share the other information that I'll need for further investigation.

Here's the recommendations:

1. Disable Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT): Enter your BIOS settings and look for the option to disable Intel PTT. This setting is often found under the Security or Advanced tabs.

2. Reset BIOS to Default Settings: Sometimes, resetting the BIOS to its default settings can resolve configuration issues. Look for an option to load default settings or factory settings in your BIOS.

3. Update BIOS: Ensure that your BIOS is up to date. Manufacturers often release updates that fix bugs and improve compatibility.

The latest BIOS from Lenovo is J2CN57WW, but based on the SSU logs you are currently using an older version, J2CN37WW. Please use the "Detect Product" feature or enter the serial number of your system to ensure the correct drivers are displayed.

If the above steps doesn't help, please share the following information:

1. Was this working fine before, and when did the issue start occurring?

2. Have you contacted Lenovo regarding this issue?

3. Why do you want to disable Secure Boot?

4. If possible, could you share a screenshot or photo of the message so I can better understand what you are seeing and the options available?

I hope to hear from you soon!

Best regards,

I have updated bios but the situation is still the same, it still shows mfg mode and I can't enable or disable it.

Hello Mink,

After conducting a thorough analysis based on the information you provided, I recommend reaching out to the computer manufacturer, as you mentioned purchasing the device as "used."

It is possible that the previous owner configured the system, which may include enabling critical security features such as Secure Boot and TPM (Trusted Platform Module). These settings are essential for ensuring the security and integrity of modern computers.
