Can't find a clear answer on whether the Arc B-series GPU (Xe2 also known as Battlemage) supports VVC (H.266) decoding. Not the integrated GPU in LNL but the one sold under the desktop product support.
Can anyone give a clear answer on this?

Hello KjellinJ,
After a thorough investigation, we would like to clarify that VVC (Versatile Video Coding) decoding is currently supported only on Intel’s upcoming Lunar Lake (LNL) platform. Unfortunately, this feature is not supported on Battlemage (BMG) or Intel® Arc™ B-Series Graphics.
For additional technical details and ongoing updates, you may refer to our open-source media driver repository on GitHub: https://github.com/intel/media-driver
We appreciate your understanding, and if you have any further questions or need assistance with other features, feel free to let us know.
Best regards

That's a shame. Then I will wait to buy an arc card until it supports vvc decoding. But let's hope that this will be supported by the upcoming B-310 B-380 or equivalent.
