Arc B580 - Graphics Card Not Detected in D5 Render System Requirements

I’m experiencing an issue when using the D5 Render software. After checking the system requirements, it seems that my Intel Arc B580 graphics card is not detected or recognized by the software.

In addition, some features in D5 Render appear to be locked or not showing up. I’ve compared this with other systems using different graphics cards, and the results are different.

My questions are:

Is this issue caused by the Arc B580 not meeting or being unsupported in D5 Render's system requirements?

Are there any recommended solutions, drivers, or updates to ensure the graphics card is properly detected?

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi Arml9,

Thank you for posting in our Community. It seems like there might be a compatibility issue between the Intel Arc B580 graphics card and D5 Render. It's possible that the Intel Arc B580 may not meet the system requirements or is unsupported by D5 Render. Let's explore some potential solutions and gather more information to resolve this.

  • Which version of D5 Render are you currently using?
  • You mentioned comparing results with other systems. Are those systems using graphics cards from different manufacturers, and are they experiencing any similar issues?
  • Could you specify which features appear to be locked or missing? This might help in identifying if the issue is related to the graphics card or another aspect of the software

Additionally, I'd like to delve deeper and verify specifics like the precise driver versions and any system errors. Utilizing the Intel SSU tool will enable me to collect detailed information about your system setup, which could aid in identifying the underlying cause of this issue. If you have done any other tests, please let me know the details so we don't cover the same ground twice.

Have a nice day!

Dear VonM_Intel,

Thank you for your response and support.

Below is additional information that may assist in further investigating the compatibility issue between the Intel Arc B580 graphics card and D5 Render software:

1. D5 Render Version:
We are currently using the latest version, 2.10.1.0579, released on March 19, 2025 (2025/3/19).

2. Comparison with Other Systems:
We have conducted testing on other systems equipped with graphics cards from different manufacturers. The issue appears to be specific to the Intel Arc B580, which fails to be recognized by D5 Render during its system requirements check. Other systems do not experience this issue and work as expected.

3. Locked or Missing Features:
When using the Intel Arc B580, several features in D5 Render appear to be unavailable or locked, such as:

- Frame Generation

- FPS Booster for Complex Geometry

These features work normally on other systems with different GPU brands. We have previously attached screenshots to illustrate this behavior.

We are ready to follow any additional troubleshooting steps you recommend, including running the Intel SSU tool to collect detailed system information.

We sincerely hope that in future updates, the currently locked features will be supported and function properly with the Intel Arc B580, allowing users to enjoy the full capabilities of software like D5 Render without limitations.

Thank you again for your time and assistance.
We look forward to further guidance from the Intel team.

Best regards,
Armal

Hi Arml9,

Thank you very much for your detailed response and for providing the additional context regarding the issue with D5 Render, as well as the results of your comparison testing. I also appreciate you sharing the SSU logs, which will be very helpful for my internal investigation. Based on the information you've provided, I will need to conduct further research to better understand the compatibility behavior between the Intel Arc B580 graphics card and D5 Render, particularly in relation to the missing or locked features you've identified. Once I have more clarity or updates, I will make sure to post a follow-up directly in this thread.

In the meantime, thank you again for your patience and for the thorough information you've shared, it truly helps streamline our investigation.

Hello Arml9,

Please be advised that we have reviewed the system application requirements and identified a potential compatibility issue. According to D5 Render, the supported Intel Arc graphics cards are A770 (16 GB), A770 (8 GB), A750, A380, A310, A550M, A770M, A730M, A370M, and A350M. Additionally, in our testing, D5 Render was unable to detect the B580 graphics card, but it successfully detected the A750. Therefore, I highly recommend contacting the software/application developer to verify compatibility with the Intel Arc B series. Sharing this link: [https://docs.d5render.com/user-guide/hardware/system-requirements-for-d5-render].

Additionally, here is the link to contact the application/software developer: [https://docs.d5render.com/#more-help].

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Dear JeanetteC_Intel,

Thank you for the clarification and the information you’ve provided earlier I truly appreciate your support regarding the compatibility of Intel Arc GPUs with D5 Render.

I would like to share the outcome of a follow-up discussion I had with the D5 Render technical support team regarding the issue where the Intel Arc B580 GPU is not being detected by the software.

According to their response, in similar cases where the GPU appears grayed out or undetected (despite being theoretically compatible), the issue is often caused by problems with the GPU driver version. They recommended trying a more stable or earlier driver version to see if that resolves the issue.

As reference, here is the official discussion thread I opened on the D5 Render forum:
https://forum.d5render.com/t/technical-support-request-d5-render-does-not-detect-intel-arc-b580/59200

Based on this, I would like to ask a few follow-up questions:

  1. Does Intel have a recommended driver version for the Arc B580 GPU that is known to be more stable, particularly for rendering applications such as D5 Render?

  2. Is there a driver changelog or compatibility record that indicates any known regressions or improvements related to third-party software support like D5 Render?

  3. If possible, could you please share a direct link to a recommended or previous stable driver version for testing purposes?

I hope this information helps further diagnose the root of the issue, and supports the effort to ensure that the Intel Arc B580 can be fully compatible and function optimally with D5 Render.

Thank you again for your time and assistance. I look forward to your guidance.

Best regards,
Armal

Hello Arml9,

Thank you for sharing the outcome of your discussion with the D5 Render technical support team. I appreciate your proactive approach in addressing the compatibility issue with the Intel Arc B580 GPU.

Regarding your follow-up questions:

  1. Intel typically recommends using the latest driver version for optimal performance and compatibility. However, if you are experiencing issues, trying an earlier stable version might help. I will check for any specific driver versions that have been noted for stability with rendering applications like D5 Render.
  2. Intel provides release notes with each driver update, which include details on improvements and known issues. I will look into whether there are any specific notes related to third-party software support, such as D5 Render.
  3. I will also look into this and provide a link to a previous stable driver version that you can test to see if it resolves the detection issue.

I hope this information aids in identifying the root cause of the problem and ensures that the Intel Arc B580 operates optimally with D5 Render. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. I will get back to you soon with the necessary details.

I look forward to assisting you further.

Best regards
