Hi, so im fairly new to the B580 but ive noticed some severe graphical issues that make the game basically unplayable with the B580. The game launches fine but ive got severe stuttering, flickering textures, and low frame rate even on the lowest settings. These issues occur even while navigation the menus of the game. Ive tried playing with the graphic settings in game and the only way to stop the texture flickering and improve the frame rate is to play on the lowest possible settings, which is obviously not ideal. Steel Division 2 ran fine on my previous 1060 6gb. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Here are my system specs for reference:
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z790 S
CPU: I7-12700KF
RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200
GPU: ARC B580
Driver Version: 32.0.101.6632

Hi, Superrickbob61.
Thank you for posting in our Community, and I appreciate you taking the time to provide detailed information about your experience with the Intel® Arc™ B580 graphics card. Stuttering, flickering textures, and low frame rates, even on minimal settings, sound like this may be a compatibility issue between the current game engine and our graphics driver. We take these cases seriously and are continuously working to improve game compatibility through driver updates.
To begin, I kindly request the following:
- A short screen recording or screenshots clearly showing the stuttering, flickering textures, and low frame rate issues. This will help us visualize the problem and compare it with known issues.
- I'd like to delve deeper and verify specifics like the Windows version, OS build#, and any system errors. Utilizing the Intel SSU tool will enable me to collect detailed information about your system setup, which could aid in identifying the underlying cause of this issue. For your privacy and security, I have already sent you an email to collect the SSU reports. Once I receive the logs, I can investigate further and provide better assistance.
- Could you please provide CapFrameX data for this game? This will allow me to analyze performance metrics in more detail and identify any potential issues. Ideally, please share a CapFrameX file that includes at least 5 minutes of gameplay.
Additionally, if you've already taken any steps to resolve this issue before reaching out, please share those details with me so I can avoid repeating any unnecessary actions.
Have a nice day!
Best regards,
Von M.

Hi thanks for the response. Attached are some short screen recordings showing the graphic issues and a screenshot of the graphic settings used. I have the SSU report, but I cant seem to find the email to send it to you. Also how would you like me to send the CapFrame X data, as I'm unable to attach the .json file?
Thanks for your help,

Hello, Superrickbob61.
Thank you for sharing the screen recordings and the graphics settings screenshot; they're very helpful in understanding the issue.
Regarding the SSU report, no problem at all. I’ll resend the email shortly so you can upload the file securely.
As for the CapFrameX data, since .json files can’t be directly attached here, you have a couple of options:
-
Compress the file (both SSU logs and CapFrameX data) into a .zip format and attach it to your reply.
- Alternatively, you can upload the file to a cloud storage service (e.g., Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox) and share the download link with us via email.
Best regards,
Von M.
