BSOD with GlideN64

Back on Windows 8.1, the new drivers caused major issues with GlideN64 as seen here:

Now, it got a whole lot worse.

On Intel HD 4400, Dell Latitude E7440, I am getting a BSOD on GlideN64 (OpenGL only) plugin on project64.

Project64 download (careful with "special offers"): http://www.pj64-emu.com/downloads/project64/binaries/ http://www.pj64-emu.com/downloads/project64/binaries/

Legal Homebrew ROM for testing purposes: http://micro-64.com/features/dexanoid.shtml Micro-64

Hope you can get it working and not crashing the system. The BSOD has been reported to Microsoft as well.

The BSOD seems to be fixed when using compatibility mode HOWEVER, many games are still unplayable. The test homebrew ROM doesn't seem to suffer from this but the Zelda 64 series is absolutely horrid on the latest intel drivers. Hello Phly95,

The only recommendation we can provide for this type of problems is to try different driver versions.

Console emulators or video plug-ins are 3rd party tools that most of the time are "open source" or proprietary apps made by individuals. Problems with this type of tools are out of our scope of support.

To find the most recent drivers for the Intel® HD Graphics 4400 you can visit the following link, and then select the operating system:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/81497/Intel-HD-Graphics-4400-for-4th-Generation-Intel-Core-Processors https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/81497/Intel-HD-Graphics-4400-for-4th-Generation-Intel-Core-Processors

Please bear in mind that branded computers usually require drivers released by the computer manufacturer; our drivers are generic versions that not necessarily work in OEM systems like yours.

If you continue having the same issues after trying Intel drivers I would recommend you trying ones from Dell.
