Hello everybody,
I have a problem with QVR Pro client 2.7 searching for help.
I have 2 GPU in my system - RTX3080 and Intel Arc A380. I´m using a 14700K CPU. I also have a QNAP TS-473A NAS, which is used to record videos from IP-cameras.
When I switch from RTX3080 to Arc A380 in the Windows config for the QVR Pro client 2.7 I only get a black playback screen. All the other stuff like time scale, the small preview screen, etc work. I just can't see the recording on the big screen.
What can I try to make it seen?

To better assist you and determine the most appropriate resolution, could you please provide the needed details listed below:
- May I know if QVR Pro client 2.7 is working fine before? if yes, what are the changes on the system before you encounter the issue?
- Kindly run this on your system so that I can also gauge the following peripherals and the driver versions that you have:
- Intel® System Support Utility for Windows*
- Once finished downloading, open the tool, click on scan (leave the default items checked), click next, then save the system information to a .txt file. Please provide us the .txt file.

We did some research and this QVR environment seems to be compatible with Nvidia GPUs at the moment: Compatibility List - QNAP
May I know if the issue reproducible with other video playback apps?

Hello Earl,
you misunderstood something. The QVR Client is a program for the Windows PC and not for the NAS. I use a PC with a 14700k, RTX 3080, A380 and here there is a black video screen when using the A380 or the iGPU from the 14700K with the QVR client program. I don't have a GPU installed in the Qnap NAS TS-473A.

1) When you say, "When I switch from RTX3080 to Arc A380 in the Windows config for the QVR Pro client 2.7 I only get a black playback screen." does it mean that you select this option within QVR Pro client as to what GPU it will output at?
2) Did you already tried playing the videos in QVR Pro client with only the A380 installed (minus the RTX 3080) just to check if there is a conflict?
3) Can you provide us the complete reproductions steps? Arc driver version, SSU, etc.

Hello Earl,
I live in Germany. Is there a German-speaking employee I can explain this to? My English isn't that good for that.
I change the GPU assignment in Windows "System -> screen -> graphics settings" and then in the program instead of "High performance -> RTX 3080" to "specific GPU -> A380 or UHD 770".
I use 32.0.101.6458 as the Intel Arc driver
I haven't tried it without RTX 3080 yet because the CPU 14700k and GPU RTX 3080 are connected to a water cooling system.

Something else occurred to me: I had a similar problem with OBS. I used the A380 for OBS and then had a black video screen when recording the screen. I was able to change that in the settings "Windows system - screen - graphics settings - OBS file" by assigning the A380 there. Is it possible that the QVR client is somehow not "forwarding" the image? I have the HDMI cable plugged into the RTX3080.

i tested without my RTX 3080 and only with A380 and 14700K iGPU - it works.
If i install the RTX3080 and if i´m using the A380 GPU for QVR Client in the Windows control panel - i´ve got a black video screen.

Upon further checking and testing on this internally, the fact that this app works fine when used only with the A380 + iGPU, this confirms that it's an application issue.
We recommend try reporting this issue directly to the app development team of Qnap QVR pro.

Yes, I am also experiencing that the Windows client of QVR Pro barely works with the Intel Arc B580. Previously, I was only using the integrated AMD graphics, and the program worked without any issues. Not long ago, I purchased the Intel B580, and immediately after that, one major problem appeared: when I maximize the QVR Pro Client window to full screen, the display instantly goes black (turns off). If I press CTRL+ALT+DEL or trigger anything else, such as adjusting the volume — anything that overlays on top of the client — the image reappears. However, as soon as I stop adjusting the volume or close the task manager window, the image disappears again.
And only today I noticed an important detail: this bug happens only if HDR is enabled in the Windows Display settings. If I disable HDR in the Windows settings, the black screen issue with QVR Pro disappears.
