As I'm sure you can guess from the name, I'm not very tech savvy.

I've recently been trying to run some games on my laptop, and I am getting this reoccuring error message that says I need to update my Driver to 27. 20.100.8681, but when I check for an update on Intel, I get this message:

"A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver & Support Assistant is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact Lenovo for the latest driver for your computer."

When I go to the Lenovo, there is no driver update option.

Am I missing something? Please let me know!

Refer to this link for the steps to resolve the error and the explanation for its cause:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005469/graphics.html

Regarding the driver, you can attempt to download the driver from the following links:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/762755/intel-6th-10th-gen-processor-graphics-windows.html

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19344/intel-graphics-windows-dch-drivers.html?product=122590

However, the error indicates that lenovo is preventing the update and using the generic graphics driver. You still have the choice to use the generic driver from intel.
