After upgrading windows 8.1 - windows 10 display adapters stopped working on my Dell Inspiron 7548, Intel Core i7 - 5500U Processor with the Intel HD graphics 5500, and there is an error kept saying Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43).
And also i would like to say that the brightness control is also not working and i presume that it might me the also problem arises due to the infunctional graphic drivers or display adapter.
Please kindly provide me the solution to overcome this problem.

I see you have an AMD/Intel hybrid rig. I had one from HP years ago and it was a PITA regarding drivers.
Try the older drivers from: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/inspiron-15-7548-laptop/drivers/advanced Product Support | Dell US
1) chipset
2) Catalyst
3) Intel graphics

Thank you for the screenshot.
I meant on my previous post is a screenshot of the error message you get when installing the driver. However, "code 43" error message should be fixed with the manual installation of the driver, try unstalling the current driver version installed with these steps;
- Open the Device Manager.
- Expand the Display Adapters section.
- Find the Intel Graphics Driver. The driver can also be called the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver (Intel® GMA Driver).
- Right click Intel Graphics Driver and select Uninstall.
- Select the check box Delete the driver software for this device.
- Reboot the computer after uninstall process has finished.
Once done, install the driver one more time with the manual installation but this time try with this version https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26078/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-40-?product=86210 Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 10 and Windows 7*/8.1* [15.40].
Regards,
Amy.

According to https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc725873(v=ws.10).aspx Code 43: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems, indicates that a device driver notified the operating system that the device failed, this circumstance can occur if the device hardware fails or if the device driver fails. Check that link and follow the instructions for the resolution part.
Since you already tried with our drivers and the issue still persists the next step would be trying with Dell's drivers, please see here for the downloads http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/inspiron-15-7548-laptop/drivers/advanced http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/inspiron-15-7548-laptop/drivers/advanced. Have you tried contacting Dell Support? Have provided you with troubleshooting steps.
Regards,
Amy.
