Comment paramétrer un ordinateur équipé d'une puce graphique Intel HD pour exploiter l'intégralité de la VRAM allouée et de la Mémoire GPU partagée ?

Processeur : Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6200U

Puce graphique : Intel(R) HD 520

Mémoire vive : 16 GB PC-12800

VRAM allouée par BIOS : 512 MB

Système d'exploitation : Windows 10 Pro

Dxdiag :

  • DirectX 12
  • Mémoire totale : 8028 MB
  • VRAM : 128 MB
  • Mémoire partagée : 7900 MB

Gestionnaire de tâches :

  • Utilisation du processeur 3D : 100% (en jeu)
  • Mémoire GPU partagée (utilisation max / quantité) : 0,6 / 7,7 Go
  • Mémoire du processeur graphique (utilisation max / quantité) : 0,6 / 7,7 Go

The Windows 10 device drivers for Intel HD Graphics will dynamically assign memory to the graphics engine based upon the current software requirements. Up to 50% of the available memory will be assigned if requirements so dictate (in a graphics intensive game, for example). The allocation parameters in the BIOS are only used while the BIOS is operating; they are ignored once the O/S begins booting. There is really no advantage to changing these parameters from their defaults.

Hope this helps,

Well, about the allocation to BIOS, check.

What about the possibilities of graphic memory operation ? The assignment of 50% of the available memory is done, but just 8-9% used.

How increase it ?

Again, this is all handled dynamically by the driver. You do not need to do or change anything.

Dynamically memory allocation, check.

More graphic memory required by system.

Above 25 FPS forced on 720P cause of above 8% memory utilisation.

So, how to report a driver malfunction ?

Cette puce graphique, annoncé par Intel(R), est capable de gérer jusqu'à 32GB de mémoire.

Quel intérêt de pouvoir gérer autant de mémoire avec une bride d'utilisation inférieur à 1GB ?

Pay attention; this is the third time I am saying this. The driver will dynamically assign memory as needs require. If it is not assigning more, then more is not needed. There is no malfunction. This has nothing to do with why your frames per second are being limited.

A technical explaination possible, other of this pod-bot response ?

Hello SIsba, Thank you for posting on the Intel ® communities. The information that has been provided by Scott is correct, there is no way to preset this to a specific value, users can only limit the maximum memory that it can take. This option is usually available in BIOS. The settings that you can usually modify are 128 MB, 256 MB and maximum DVMT. Setting other values depends on the motherboard manufacturer and the amount of RAM installed on the computer. Regards, David V Intel Customer Support Technician Under Contract to Intel Corporation

 Hello,

What's DVMT ?

That's short for Dynamic Video Memory Technology, essentially what we've been talking about this whole conversation.

Not expert for another acronym language.

In this case, 8 GO are allocated to the graphic chipset.

What may be the reason for just using 8 % of setting memory ?

Is this setting memory possibilities only util for 3D PAO ?

Stay away from Intel then; they have acronyms for their acronyms!
