Display Adapter has stopped responding and has recovered error while playing games

Hi,

I get the error Display driver Intel HD Graphics Drivers for Windows(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered." while I play games. The game would freeze give me a black screen and then it would go back to normal after around 4 seconds but would repeat.

I currently have two Display Adapters, Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M.

I have tried setting my TdrDelay to 8 and 10 but I get a new error that says "application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware"

Hello, @One_Freedom:

I would like to gather some information in order to address this matter, so please download the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility Download Intel® System Support Utility, and attach it, with this report I will be able to confirm some of that information. Could you please let me know the games that you were playing?

Regards,

Amy.

I was playing pretty high end games like Planetside 2, The Witcher 3 and Skyrim.

And I can't attach the file here so I'll post it on a Pastebin. http://pastebin.com/kn8JBKpY http://pastebin.com/kn8JBKpY

Hi,

I downloaded the driver and tried to install it manually with the guide you gave but it keeps telling me my driver is already updated to the latest version. Then I tried doing it automatically via Setup.exe but it says my computer isn't authorized for this.

There are some new drivers. Try them and see if you have the same problem : https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26078/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-40-?product=80939 Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 10 and Windows 7*/8.1* [15.40]

@One_Freedom, I just wanted to check on this thread; how is the driver working? Was the issue resolved with that driver version?

Please let me know your findings.
