Having just upgraded to Windows 8.1, I now find I cannot access advanced colour settings in the control panel for my HD 4000, where previously I could in 8! Any suggestions for a work around??

Hello SV123,

I am sorry to hear you are having problems but let me help you.

The Intel® Media and Graphics Control Panel interface should be the same in Win 8 and win 8.1 when using the driver 3345 but I would like to verify more information about your system so, can you please post your dxdiag report report and the graphics report here?

How to get it?

Dxdiag Report: Type dxdiag in Start Menu> open> Save> Copy/Paste here.

Graphics Report: Right click on desktop> Graphics Properties> Options> Drop Down Menu> Information Center> Save> Open .txt file created> Copy/Paste here.

Thanks for the information. Please uninstall the current driver you have by following the steps at the following link:

http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-034574.htm http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-034574.htm

After uninstalling the driver, please download the latest driver for your controller at the following link:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23639 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23639

If you get notification/error messages during the installation of the driver, please try the manual driver installation. Here you have the steps:

http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-033916.htm http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-033916.htm

Besides this, I recommend you updating the BIOS and the Management Engine driver provided by the Computer Manufacture.

Hi Kevin

Thanks for this information, however on trying to install the latest driver, 3345, I get an error message saying that this driver 'is not validated for this computer' and the installer quits. I have also tried manual installation with the same result!!

Do you have any suggestions as to how to proceed?

Thanks

The driver I provided above is a different version than 3345. We have released a driver version 3412 on feb 24th.

In the case you have tried this driver and the issue persists, my best recommendation is to contact Dell for them to provide their latest custom driver.

Hi Kevin

Thanks again for your help.

I have now installed the new driver and have found how to change the display settings as I have been able to previously. So that's me sorted!!
