Hello, when i connect my Soundbar to iGPU (13700K HD770) HDMI port, the Dolby Atmos for HomeTheater option disappear in Spatial Sound...

Only has:

DTS:X

DTS:X Headphone

Dolby Atmos for Headphone

When connect to my dGPU (RTX 5080) this option (Dolby Atmos for HomeTheater) come back again.

OS: Windows 11 Pro/24H2/26100.4770

Drvier: Intel 32.0.101.6987

This issue is not happened when i install 32.0.101.6987 at first.

However, when i don't pay attention, the mtfk MS Windows Update, rollback this Intel driver to older version (10/18/2024, 32.0.101.6129) and this problem happened.

Try DDU intel driver again and clean install the 32.0.101.6987, but this option is still missing.

Hi @Zrx,

Please try performing a clean reinstallation of your graphics driver using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller). Before proceeding, make sure to follow the steps outlined in this article-Windows* Update Rolling Back Graphics Driver to a Previous Version, carefully. Once done, reinstall the latest graphics driver version 32.0.101.6989 and let me know if this resolves the issue.

Hi, i think it may have some issues between Dolby Atmos for Home Theater with Intel iGPU.

After some test:

Dolby Access 3.14 version --> This option come back again.

Dolby Access 3.27 (latest) --> This option is disappear when connect to Intel iGPU (HD770), but is work on RTX 5080.

PS: i have test 32.0.101.6989 this result is same.

Thanks.

Hi @Zrx,

It seems that the issue is specific to the newer build v3.27.4390.0 of the application, as its features differ from those in previous versions. To further investigate, please provide the following details:

  1. The download link from which you obtained the software.
  2. The SSU log report, so I can review your system's configuration.
  3. Information about your default GPU when initializing the software. I suspect it might be configured to use only the RTX 5080, or Windows might automatically decide which GPU to use. Please check your system settings configuration.-How To Set the Default GPU for Applications and Games

Personal insights: Based on my research, Intel® UHD Graphics 770 (iGPU) does not consistently support Dolby Atmos for Home Theater, according to current user reports and compatibility tests. Some versions of Dolby Access (e.g., 3.14) may temporarily restore the option, but newer versions (e.g., 3.27) do not work reliably with the UHD 770. I will continue to investigate this issue and report back once I have more information and confirmation internally.

HI,

1. The download link from which you obtained the software.

-->  dolby access 3.14 (old)

https://www.mrdownload.com/downloads/static/apps/85377

--> dolby access 3.27 (latest)

http://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9n0866fs04w8?hl=en-us

2. The SSU log report, so I can review your system's configuration.

Attached.

3. Information about your default GPU when initializing the software. I suspect it might be configured to use only the RTX 5080, or Windows might automatically decide which GPU to use. Please check your system settings configuration.

i connect HDMI to my MB, so it will use intel iGPU (HD770).

Thanks!

Hi @Zrx,

Based on our investigation and your feedback, I can now clarify that this issue is not related to a driver issue but rather a Windows issue.

The key evidence supporting this conclusion:

  • Dolby Atmos was available and functioning prior to Microsoft installing an older driver through Windows Update
  • Installing the latest graphics driver did not resolve the issue, which clearly indicates that this issue is not driver-related

I recommend that you continue consulting with Microsoft regarding this issue, as they will be best positioned to address Windows-related problems.

Important: It would be beneficial for you to share the specific KB (Knowledge Base) number of the update that Microsoft installed on your system. This information will help Microsoft support quickly identify the root cause of the issue and provide an appropriate solution.

You can typically find this information in:

  • Windows Update History (Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > View update history)
  • Or by searching for recently installed updates in your system

Thank you for your patience throughout this process. Since this has been determined to be a Windows-specific issue, Microsoft support will be your best resource for resolution.
