Driver download center seems to be broken

Dear Intel team,

I fear something is wrong with your driver download center.
I spent over 15 minutes trying to find the latest driver for Intel HD graphics 520, but this was impossible:

Going to
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download-center/home.html
and entering the search term
HD graphics 520
yielded only one hit with ancient drivers from 2015 (15.40.7.64.4279).
Some days ago, it yielded many more hits, which all were either ancient or wrong.

If I search your website via Google, I find at least a driver from 12/29/2022.
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/762755/intel-6th-10th-gen-processor-graphics-windows.html

No idea if this is the latest one, but at least it's better. In any case, one shouldn't have to use Google to find drivers from a multi-billion dollar company.

Also note that there is a very sub-optimally designed list of supported hardware at the bottom:
"This download is valid for the product(s) listed below."
And then follow a few chipsets. But there is no indicator that this is a scrolling list, at least Firefox doesn't show any scrollbar.
You can discover this only by accident, otherwise you think that you have the wrong driver.

Thank you for posting this concern via communities regarding the driver you want to install to your unit. I have some questions for me to better understand your concern:

 

  1. What is your processor model?
  2. Are you using integrated graphics or discrete graphics?
  3. Are you using a desktop or a laptop?
  4. What is the make and model of your unit?

 

And to further assist you, kindly provide Intel System Support Utility.

 

  1. Intel® System Support Utility for Windows*
  2. Scan: Check the box Everything.
  3. Click Scan.
  4. Review: When finished scanning, click Next.
  5. Click Save.

I fear this was a misunderstanding, I don't need help, instead I wanted to help you.

If it's not possible to locate drivers for your products due to a broken search function, you will lose customers and jobs... Best forward my message to the website maintainers.

P.S.: Search results also change daily. Today I got two hits searching for HD graphics 520, both of which are outdated

Hello Elmar,

The newer version for Intel HD graphics 520 which can be easy located in the Intel Download Center.

This download is valid for the product(s) listed below.

Because the oldest in this list seems to be HD Graphics 610, and there is no HD Graphics 520 😉
